Imaginary Friends

So I have this group of friends. Some of them I actually, personally, physically know. Others I know only through our online communication. All of them are wonderful, supportive, creative women.

There was an upset in our little group recently. It involved some unkind words, some offensive language, and a lot of broken trust. As a result- a few of my "online friends" have left our circle. It was a very sad situation. So many feeling were hurt. Countless tears have been cried and hearts have been broken. It may seem silly to non-message boarders that someone you have never met in real life can have such an effect on your emotions. But we confide in each other in ways we probably wouldn't if we could actually run into each other on a daily basis. There is an incredible bond of closeness and distance than makes this kind of friendship like no other. Unless you have btdt- you just won't get it.

Through the hurt I have learned a valuable lesson. It is about gossip and exposing secrets and the value of true friends.

Catch me if you can-
~AJ

I'm really happy with how well we have all pulled through it. It's starting to feel "normal" again. (((HUGS))) to you if you are still feeling the pain.
